Every five years, the city of Kassel in Germany is transformed into a museum of contemporary art for 100 days. Since it was established in 1955, Documenta has come to be regarded critically as the most important exhibition of contemporary art in the world. But how do large exhibitions like this really influence practitioners within the art industry?
Hear from Ellie Buttrose (Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art) as she chairs a discussion between Laura Brown (The Maximilian), Tess Maunder (Gertrude Contemporary and Art & Australia emerging writers program), Chris Bennie (Griffith Artworks) and Madeleine Kelly (Milani Gallery).
Organised by QUT Creative Industries Precinct in association with independent curator Tess Maunder.
