QACI Showcase: Environmental Design Scape

Queensland Academy of Creative Industries (QACI) presents a video montage by Year 11 Visual Arts students (2014) created in response to the urban environment in which their school is located. Beginning with an exploration of the design elements and principles found in their surroundings captured in both still and moving imagery, students created artworks with original soundscapes reflecting a sense of place and design using industry standard software.

The Parer Place Urban Screens present an innovative outdoor projection exhibition series celebrating the moving image in all its forms - film, television, games, new media, animation and art. The Urban Screens are solely dedicated to providing a digital canvas for emerging or experimental artists, with artworks animating the bold architecture of QUT's Creative Industries Precinct each night at dusk.
