Open call – Expressions of Interest by Curators and Artists
QUT Creative Industries Precinct is accepting expressions of interest from curators and moving image creatives to present screening exhibitions and works as part of the 2016 Parer Place Screening Program.
Parer Place Project is an outdoor projection space that presents an ongoing nightly curated program of screenings of moving image and digital media works, celebrating the moving image in all its forms – film, new media, animation and art. The Parer Place Urban Screens are located at the Queensland University of Technology's (QUT) Creative Industries Precinct. The Screens are dedicated to providing a digital canvas for emerging or experimental artists.
We welcome expressions of interest for exhibitions of digital moving image works to be considered as part of the 2016 curated program. Screenings may include a number of curated works, a group exhibition or an individual work.
To apply: Submit a 250 – 500 word statement detailing the proposed screening, a short bio or CV and up to five images or links to video that show the proposed work (or current work that is representative of your practice. If there is a specific time period throughout the year that you would like the screening to take place please indicate this is in your application.
