The Creative Industries Precinct’s hands-on public programs schedule has evolved as an integral part of the thriving creative community at the Kelvin Grove Urban Village.
We’ve revolutionised the traditional idea of a public program to respond to what’s happening here and now. Our free programs are organic, interactive opportunities ranging from ‘real world’ talks by industry representatives to lab-based workshops to fashion market days.
With exclusive access to Brisbane’s finest designers, stylists and rag-trade specialists through the university’s acclaimed Fashion Design course, Fashion Talks @ QUT is the original and the best. Fashion Talks launched the oft-copied clothes ‘Swap’, with 2010's first event in May.
Pairing up with the local studios of international game design houses; the International Game Designers Association; and local design schools, Game On explores the in-and-outs of the industry, with a 48-hour Game-Making lockdown featuring as the signature event .
