Parking
Parking at QUT's Kelvin Grove campus is at a premium during business hours and university semesters. To avoid the frustration of trying to find a park, we encourage you to take advantage of public transport during peak times.
Free Parking
The Creative Industries Precinct and most surrounding streets fall within the Brisbane Central Traffic Area (PDF 610 kB). In the Brisbane Central Traffic Area you can park for a maximum of two hours on unsigned streets unless there are parking meters or signs showing otherwise. The two hour limit applies at these times: Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm, Saturday 7am to 12 midday.
A Loading Zone and several 15-minute drop-off bays on Gona Parade provide easy access for deliveries and quick visits to the Precinct.
Paid Parking
A QUT Pay and Display car park is located at the corner of Musk Avenue and Gona Parade, costing $6.00/day. A valid permit must be displayed between 8.00am-5.00pm Monday-Friday, parking outside these hours is free. Ticket machines accept coins or card payment.
Brisbane City Council Pay and Display parking is available in the streets immediately surrounding the Creative Industries Precinct, with the cost of parking ranging between $1.50/hour to $8.00/day. The amount of time you are allowed to park in these zones varies substantially (zones include 1P, 4P, 9P).
